After a long time, corona is finally under control, and kids are happy that going to school is again feasible. This is the right time to make a checklist and say hello to school once again. Like all the parents, you must be checking books, dress etc. before going to school but have you thought of making sure your child teeth are protected while they are in school?

Any sort of dental problem can affect your child’s self-esteem, confidence, learning abilities and concentration in the school. Any oral disease can also cause altered speech, it can also affect nutrition intake.

Tooth decay is one of the highest reported problems throughout the world. And also, it affects schooling too.

1.    DENTAL KIT

Always give your child a dental kit in lunchbox and put toothpaste, toothbrush and floss in it.

 



2.    DENTAL EXAMINATION

Regular dental check up are too important as sometimes dental problems cannot be noticed by a parent. Also extensive decay cannot be prevented, and regular examination can also lead to avoidance of unnecessary pain and trauma. School hours will not be lost.

 


 

3.    SNACKS FOR SCHOOL

Avoid sugary drinks, avoid packed food items. Always choose healthier snacks like cheese, milk, yogurt, fruit, grains etc.

 

4.    MOUTHGUARD

If the child is a sports player or very notorious, make sure to get a mouth guard from the dentist. Mouthguard offers good amount of protection and comfort.

We all know blood clot is formed after a extraction at the extraction site but if it fails to form or gets dislodged or lysed because of any reason it leaves a denuded bone where nerves are exposed, that leads to severe pain.
